Mailman 3 is a complete rewrite of the software, so there are many changes all over.

NOTE: after switching to the new mail server, mailman will be temporarily unavailable while we migrate the lists and archives.

• users can still subscribe normally through e-mail, but they can also make an account on the site which will then be for all the lists they subscribe to on our server, to easily manage their settings.
• actually, subscribing therough the web interface has been broken for some time, and has been fixed now.
• for logged in users it is also possible to reply to a message in the archives

• Links to lists and archives are not preserved from the previous version. If you have external links to a list information page or to the list archives, these have to be updated.
• Access to private archives of a list is now based on a users subscription, and requires an account on the site associated with that subscription.
  • this makes it somewhat difficult to determine what to do with old archives from before the upgrade. List owners should contact the computer group to decide what to do with these archives.
