The Physics department has ''Mathematica'' and ''Matlab'' available, and we can make use of these programs for the occasional user.

Note: the campus license for Maple was terminated a couple of years ago.

==== Free / Open Source mathematical software ====

Most of our Linux desktops have the following software installed:

  * [[http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/|Octave]] - numerical computations, mostly matlab compatible in syntax
